It seems appropriate that I should start with The Brownie Boutique (by Ms. Andrea). This is the shop that started it all. And by "all," I meant the sugar rampage I have been on for the past few months, a few weeks after my TBB order.

I found their page through Luis Manzano's Instagram. This is another advantage of online shops: a lot of celebrities have Instagram accounts. And most of those celebrities are influential. Have them make a post about you or your shop and voila!--relatively free advertising/promotion. :) So yes, I visited the account and my mouth watered. Their brownies look amazing! I ordered their bestsellers: Assorted Swirls (Cream Cheese Swirl and Oreo Cheesecake Brownies) for P480/dozen and the Assorted Brownies (Classic Fudge, Mallows, Oreos, and Kitkat) for P400/dozen.
They were delivered to me in a plastic container. The brownies are wrapped individually to prevent them from sticking together. And yes, they taste as amazing as they looked. They're heavy and loaded when you pick them up. They're huge, too! I can easily eat one for breakfast and feel full. :) The brownies are moist and the fudge, rich and chocolate-y.
My favorites are the Cream Cheese Swirl (these fudge brownies are topped with a swirl of cream cheese and chocolate) and the Classic Fudge (these babies are their classic recipe of fudge dusted with a thin layer of, what I think, is refined sugar.

I also liked the Mallows but unfortunately, the marshmallows melted (maybe because of the heat during delivery) and stuck to the brownie's plastic wrap so I had to pull the brownies off with difficulty until I'm left with just the fudge with melted bubbly marshmallows practically "glued" to the plastic wrap. :(
Nevertheless, these brownies are a treasure! It's very easy to order but they have weekly baking schedules so you have to wait for a day or two before you get your dose of brownie goodness.
Yes, I stick by to the title: I blame this post on the brownies. They were a great introduction to what I call "the sugar showdown."
